Galveston Area maps and named neighborhoods

Galveston is about a 40 minute drive from downtown Houston (depending on the traffic in Houston, of course!)
It's easy! Take I-45 South to Galveston. Cross the causeway (bridge) and you're here!

To get to downtown destinations, continue on Broadway and turn left at 24th Street, right at Winnie and left onto 23rd. This will take you right past one of Galveston's coolest stores, Nautical Antiques & Decor, and straight on to the Strand and the Downtown Historic District.

For 61st Street and west-end destinations, take the "61st Street exit" after the causeway, bear right off the feeder, take a right at the traffic light which is 61st Street, continue to the end which is Seawall, and turn right!

Above are some of Galveston's named neighborhoods - this is considered the "in-town" portion of Galveston Island and is all located behind the Seawall.
Above is the "west end" portion of our Island. Shown here, the "top" is the farthest west point. The "bottom" ends at 61st Street and heads "in town".
